Brg Gen Dr Christopher Kwasi Agbeka (rtd) Laid to Rest

The mortal remains of Brigadier General Dr. Christopher Kwasi Agbeka (rtd), has been laid to rest at the Burma Camp Military Cemetery after final funeral rites were held at the Garrison Methodist Presbyterian Church (GMPC) in Burma Camp on Friday, 22 October, 2021.

The late Brigadier General popularly known among his compatriot as ‘Chris’ was enlisted into the Ghana Military Academy [GMA]in january1987. He was commissioned into the Ghana Armed Forces Medical Corps on 14 August 1987. He was posted to the 37 military hospital and later 4 and 6 Medical Reception Stations as the Station Medical Officer.

Delivering the sermon on the theme “What shall we say to these things”, the Acting Director Religious Affairs, Lt. Col Apostle Benjamin Godson Kumi- Woode, talked about Paul in the Bible and Paul saying “If God is for us who can be against us”. He went further to talk about God’s love for us and encouraged us to accept Christ as our Lord and Savior for hell and heaven was real.

The late Brigadier General Agbeka (rtd) was born on 22 April 1958 at Sogakope in the Volta region and passed on the 30 July, 2021 at the 37 Military Hospital after a short illness.
