Induction Church Parade Held For Senior Staff Course 43

An Induction Church parade was held for Senior Staff Course 43 on Sunday, 17 October 2021, at the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC), Teshie Ridge, Accra.

Speaking on the theme “Pressing Forward”, the Chaplain, Lieutenant Commander DB Quayson, advised the students to press on regardless of what the challenges may be. He urged them to be faithful and put their trust in God.

He advised the students to manage their time and eschew procrastination. He reminded them that the GAF thrives on honesty, integrity, and exceptional performance and urged them to portray these qualities.

The Former Deputy Commandant of GAFCSC, Brigadier General Augustine Boimah (Rtd), who was the Guest of Honor, said the course was geared towards training personnel to upgrade their knowledge to become better officers to serve their country, humanity and the world at large. He added that, these could be met through preparedness and equipping themselves with the requisite tools and skills to function effectively in the cause of their studies.

He reiterated that, some knowledge cannot be found in books therefore students must cease opportunities to ask questions and learn from both serving and retired senior officers as well as resourceful persons to broaden their horizon in their field of study.

He urged members of the directing staff, faculty members and lecturers to exhibit leadership qualities, effective communication skills, management in military strategy and an appreciable understanding of Geo-Politics regarding global issues.

The 11 months integrated military course for senior officers had participants drawn from the Armed Forces of Ghana, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra-Leone, Togo, Guinea and Niger.
