Rotary Club of Farmville and Sunyani-Central has extended its philanthropist wings to the 3 Garrison, Liberation Barracks through donation of medical equipment to the 3 Medical Reception Station (MRS). The short ceremony was held at the forecourt of the MRS on Monday, 4 October 2021.
The items donated include 1 Defibrillator, 1 Nebulizer, 1 Cardiac Monitor , 1 Electrocardiography (ECG) Machine, 1 Dental Chair,1 Simple delivery bed, 1 Suction Machine 20 Baby Suction device , 3 packets of Examination Gloves, 3 Wheel Chairs, 5 Hospital Beds and 5 Warmers. President of the Rotary Club, Mr EJM Tsagli during the handing extoled the services rendered by the facility not only to military personnel but other civilian patrons. He added that, the facility had a great posture in a bid to deliver more health services but are constrained due to lack of certain logistics.
In fulfilment of the Club’s theme for the year “Serve to Change Life”, the Club has equally donated medical equipment to 13 other health facilities amongst which includes the Bono Regional and Municipal hospitals, Owusu Memorial, Abesim and SDA hospitals all in Sunyani.
The Commanding Officer (CO) of the Armour Training School, Lt Col Dominic Buah receiving the items expressed gratitude to the Rotary Club and assured that the equipment will be put to good use.
Present at the donation were immediate past presidents of the Rotary Club Mr Patty Kwartemaa Effah and Mr Alhassan Boryira as well as Rotarians Mr Samuel Ansu-Yeboah and Ms Grace Aloto.
