Ghana Health Service Donates to 37 Military Hospital

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) in collaboration with the National Covid-19 Case Management Team, United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the World Health Organization have donated medical equipment to the 37 Military Hospital on Thursday, 22 July 2021.

Speaking on behalf of the team, Mr Ebenezer Boakye Amponsah, a member of the National Covid-19 Case Management Team explained that, the donated items were to aid the hospital treat and combat Covid-19 especially in the wake of the Delta Variant. He revealed that, similar donations would be made to all government and private hospitals in the country and added that, a technical team from Life Care Ghana would be available to train the hospital staff on how to utilize the equipment.

The donated items included; a patient monitor, two mobile ventilators, a computer tablet and a MiFi; a gadget for accessing the internet.

Present during the donation were, Mrs Mary Addo-Mensah, the Acting Health Office Director for USAID, the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), Lieutenant Colonel Francisca Amakyi, CNO Clinical, Lieutenant Colonel Patience Owusu Aidoo and the Commander 37 Military Hospital, Brigadier General Nii Adjah Obodai.
