Northern Command Holds Mid-Year Religious Parade

Northern Command has held its mid-year thanksgiving religious parade on Sunday 18 July 2021 at the Kamina Church of Pentecost, Tamale.

The event was to climax the first half of this year’s activities to thank God for his abundant mercies and also serve as a send-off religious parade for 6Bn as the unit deploy to Southern Lebanon on Peace Support Operations.

The Guest of Honour, Brigadier General Moses Mohammed Aryee in his address stated that despite the challenges personnel in the command gave off their best. He added that it was imperative to triumph above the challenges by remaining fearless, focused and confident at all times.

Brig Gen MM Aryee commended the Commanding Officer 6 Infantry Battalion for his innovative and dynamic leadership style. Stressing on the need to remain professional at all times, the guest of honour urged personnel to discharge their duties creditably and warned against acts which would drag the name of the service into disrepute. Adding that, all indiscipline personnel would be severely punished.

The Garrison Imam, Sheikh Abdul Rahim Yamusah urged personnel to give thanks no matter the circumstance. He said their attitude must reflect gratitude, for all that Allah has done according to Quran 20:77-85.

On his part, Pastor Deku Isaac in his sermon admonished personnel to be grateful to God for being alive. He urged all to be thankful at all times for God’s provision of their needs as well as his protection, with reference to Luke 7:11-16.

Brig Gen Aryee in his closing remarks thanked all for attending the religious parade.

Present at the service were Commander Army Training Command (ATRAC), Brigadier General Berimah Brako Owusu, Principal Staff Officers of the Headquarters Northern Command, Commanding Officer 6th Battalion of Infantry, Lieutenant Colonel Benjamin Boamah, Commanding Officer Airborne Force, Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Kwasi Adum-Atta, Officers and Men of 6 Garrison as well as their families.
