MINIPLAST and A&N GHANEM have donated 500 Hippo chairs and 500 Oblong plastic tables worth GH¢145,000.00 to the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) on Thursday, June 17 2021 at the Armed Forces Sports Complex in Burma Camp.
In his opening remarks, the Director General Training, Brigadier General Twum Ampofo-Gyekye showed his appreciation to MINIPLAST and A&N GHANEM for their kind gesture. He said GAF’s effort in purchasing furniture for young officers to write Promotional Exams (PROMEX) ended up as a donation from MINIPLAST and A& N GHANEM LTD.
The Chief of Staff (COS), Major General Peter Nicholas Andoh, who represented the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) Vice Admiral Seth Amoama, extended his regards to MINIPLAST and A&N GHANEM family for their generous donation.
The COS spelled out the importance of PROMEX writing which was a very significant component of career development in GAF. It encourages the officers to understand the system and equip them to defend the country at large.
Maj Gen Andoh noted that, the donation falls in line with GAF to perform its task. The donation he said will go a long a way to support GAF to establish its task well.
Donating the items, the Deputy Managing Director of MINIPLAST and A&N GHANEM Nadim Ghanem-Pares was glad for their collaborations with GAF and recommended GAF for its competence in the provision of security in the country and its borders.
Also present at the ceremony were the Director General Personnel and Administration, Air Commodore Michael Appiah-Agyekum, Director General Defence Intelligence, Brigadier General James Hagan and other senior officers.
