The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Vice Admiral Seth Amoama has commended Students and Staffs of Bawku Senior High Technical School for their steadfastness and commitment to the Ghana Armed Forces and urged the students to be discipline and truthful to their teachers at all time.
The CDS as part of Exercise Eagle Claws 2021 donated boxes of Sanitary Pads, Boxes of Stationaries, Boxes of Soap and detergents, Cartons of Soft drinks, and Cartons of Mineral Water worth GHC 12000 at a short ceremony held at the administration block on Thursday, 27 May 2021 at Mognori in the Upper East region.
Presenting the items, CDS commended teaching and non-teaching staff for supporting GAF’s Cooperate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the Northern Sector and Ghana at large.
Receiving the items on behalf of the school, the Headmaster Mr Bukari Abdulai thanked the Ghana Armed Forces for the donation and prayed God to continue to bless the good works of the Ghana Armed Forces.
Mr Bukari Abdulai said, that the items donated will go a long way to help their female students in the school and urged their maximum cooperation to the Ghana Armed Forces.
Later on, the military had a Civil Military Cooperation (CIMIC) activity, where the locals were provided with medical care for about 500 inhabitants of the Tumu Township, then after school hours, pupils were airlifted by a helicopter, to have a feel.
Also present at the event were the Chief of the Army Staff, Maj Gen Thomas Oppong-Peprah, Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Frank Hanson, GOC Northern Command, Brig Gen Moses Mohammed Aryee, Air Force Base Tamale Commander, Air Commodore David Akrong, the Chief Operation Officer, Col Barima Brako Owusu, the Regional Police Commander, DCOP Saibu Gariba, the Second in Command Bawku Fire Service, DOI Juliet Crabbe, the Bawku Divisional Commander for NIB, Mr Augustin Darfur and some Senior Officers from Army Headquarters and Northern Command Headquarters.
