ESF Delegation Inspects Equipment


ECOWAS Standby Force (ESF) delegation on Friday 30 April, 2021, inspected equipment reserved for the ESF operations at the 48 Engineer Regiment Mobile Warehouse.

The delegation led by the ESF Chief of Staff (COS), Major General Usman Yusuf was welcomed to the Regiment by the Director Plans, at the Department of Plans, Research and Development (PR&D) at the General Headquarters, Col Botsoe Alfred. 

The Officer-in-Charge of stores at GHQ Ordnance, Major Ama Panyin Serwaa briefed the delegation on the various types of equipment stored at the warehouse which included general and accommodation stores such as vehicles, Air conditioners, Refrigerators, Photo Copier machines, Laptops, Projectors, Standby generators, etc.

Major General Yusuf urged the Ghana Armed Forces to use some of the equipment in their training activities to prevent it from deteriorating due to bad weather conditions. He also admonished them to ensure that the equipment were in good condition at all times by regularly maintaining them.

The Director Plans, at the Department of Plans, Research and Development (PR&D), Col Botsoe Alfred, on behalf of the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Vice Admiral Seth Amoama and all personnel of GAF, thanked the ESF COS and assured him that the equipments would be put to good use and properly maintained.

Major General Yusuf presented a plaque on behalf of the ESF to the Director Plans, Research and Development (PR&D) to acknowledge the role GAF played in safeguarding the equipment at the various warehouses.
