DTC holds Induction Parade for Recruits of BITC 5-20

Recruits of the Basic Infantry Training Course (BITC) 5-20, currently under training at the   Daboya Training Camp, has held an induction Religious Parade for 384 recruits at Daboya on Sunday 11 April 2021.

Speaking on the theme, “Put your trust in God”, the chaplain, Rev Fr Lt Benjamin Danso admonished the recruits to take all lessons taught seriously in earnest and strive to achieve military discipline.

The Garrison Imam, Abdul Rahim Yamusah, urged the recruits to give praise to Allah for making it possible to be selected for the training.
The Guest of honour for the occasion, Command Operations Officer at the Northern Command Headquarters Colonel Barimah Brako Owusu, in his speech, emphasised the need to show commitment to the training and counselled the recruits to always seek diligently the face of God in their work.

He advised recruits to look at their selection as a divine will, which will manifest in their successful training and subsequent progression in the military when they pass out.

Col Owusu explained that, the training is specifically designed to impart into them discipline, dedication, selflessness, self-control and patriotism.

In attendance were the District Chief Executive for Tolon, Hajia Balchisu, District Chief Executive for Daboya Mr Adam Eliasu Bawa, Commanding Officer 6 Infantry Battalion and Commanding Officer Airborne Force.
