The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Vice Admiral Seth Amoama has paid a maiden visit to 4 Garrison, Kumasi on Friday 9 April 2021.
The visit was to afford him the opportunity to get a first-hand information on the operational, logistics and administrative challenges affecting the Garrison. During the visit, CDS inspect some ongoing projects undertaken by the Headquarters Central Command and 4 Infantry Battalion respectively.
In a durbar with personnel at the OB Akwa auditorium, the CDS indicated that, his leadership drive would be centered on problem solving and encouraged personnel to come out with ideas that would help the Ghana Armed Forces. He mentioned that, he would want to see well cohesive and strong Armed Forces capable of dealing with modern threat such as terrorism and piracy.
On discipline, the CDS advised personnel to strive to adhere to Command Policies and Guidelines in order not to fall foul of the law. He urged personnel to avoid military and police confrontations.
The CDS and his entourage paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace to seek for his prayers and blessings.
