A delegation from the family of the late Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Hyacinth Tagoe (Rtd) on Tuesday, 23 February 2021, called on the Chief of the Defense Staff (CDS), Rear Admiral Seth Amoama at his office in Burma Camp.
The visit was among other things to find common grounds concerning the burial of the late Brig Gen Tagoe (Rtd).
The CDS on behalf of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), expressed his deepest condolence to the bereaved family. Rear Admiral Amoama stated that, the late Brig Gen Tagoe (Rtd) was part of Regular Intake 20 and by dint of hard work and dedication, rose through the ranks and attained the rank of Brig Gen while in active service. He further added that, the late Brig Gen was noted for his passion for the expansion of GAF and was instrumental in the establishment of the Defence Industries.
Rear Admiral Amoama assured the family of a befitting Military burial.
Present with the CDS were the Chief of Staff at the General Headquarters, Major General Nicholas Peter Andoh, Deputy Director-General, Personnel Administration, Colonel KD Hagan and other Senior Officers.
