69 Airborne Force Holds Initiation, Elevation and Reaffirmation Ceremony for Newly Promoted Soldiers

The 69 Airborne Force has held an initiation, elevation and reaffirmation ceremony for newly promoted Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCO’s) and Warrant Officers (WO’s) on Friday 15 January 2021 at Barwah Barracks, Tamale.

The ceremony was to officially admit the newly promoted Junior Ranks to the (WO’s and SNCO’s Mess), congratulate and orient the newly promoted SNCO’s and WO’s on the existing rules and ethics governing the Mess.

Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Kwesi Adum-Atta, Commanding Officer (CO) 69 Airborne Force, and also the guest of honour for the ceremony in his remarks noted that the ceremony was to inculcate in them elements of the customs and traditions of the Unit and also the Ghana Armed Forces.

He advised the newly promoted soldiers to remain discipline at all times and be loyal to mother Ghana when duty calls.  The CO stressed that the progression in rank was faced with responsibilities hence they should exhibit professionalism in performing the mandated tasks assigned them.

Lt Col Adum-Atta commended personnel who were promoted for their hard work and discipline to the unit and the Ghana Army.

The Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) of Airborne Force, SWO Iddrisu Umar also advised newly promoted soldiers to exercise leadership at more level and charged them to mentor the junior ranks to be responsible.
