Lt Col Theophilus Oswald Afotey Laryea has assumed command as the newly appointed Commanding Officer (CO) of the Forces Pay Regiment (FPR) during a handing and taking over ceremony at the Forces Pay Regiment Headquarters, Burma Camp on Friday 14 June 2019.
Col DK Amissah, the outgoing CO, admonished the incoming CO to be focused in order to achieve the needed objectives and also maintain the high standard already set for the Regiment.
He outlined some of the successes chalked during his tenure stressing on the construction of a 72-bedroom unit for young soldiers, reviving Funky Millionaires Band and acquisition of a Toyota Coastal and Welfare Buses for the Unit.
The Guest of Honour, Commander Support Service Brigade Group, Brigadier General Stanley Bryan Alloh urged personnel to continuously support the incoming CO to enable him execute his tasks efficiently.
The outgoing CO of FPR, Col Daniel Kofi Amissah will be acting as the Defence Financial Comptroller (DFC) of GAF.
In his remarks, the outgoing CO, Col Daniel Kofi Amissah congratulated Officers, Men, Women and Civilian Employees for the support they accorded him during his term of office and urged them to extend same gesture to his successor. He also thanked his wife and family for the support and love exhibited throughout his tenure of office.
