COS congratulates Mbebo Nonna of 2020 NSMQ

The Chief of Staff (COS), Rear Admiral Issah Yakubu has given Mr Mbebo Nonna, of Adisadel College, a standing ovation for his excellent academic prowess in the just ended 2020 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).

Mr Nonna was one of the contestants whose individual brilliance helped accelerate Adisadel College to earn the second position in the highly competitive brain battle.

“We are very proud to be associated with your achievement. Looking at your background, I mean from a military family in Burma Camp, I encourage you to continue your hard work and remain focus in all your endeavors”. Rear Admiral Yakubu made this statement when Mr Nonna and his family called on him on Tuesday, 13 October 2020 in his office, Burma Camp.

Rear Admiral Yakubu extoled him to continue to learn harder to achieve his goals since he has started life in a good light and presented him an undisclosed amount of cash as a token of appreciation for his hard work.

He also congratulated the parents for bringing their son up with impeccable talents and self-confidence.  He urged them to update him on his progress for he has a promising future.

Mr Nonna expressed his gratitude to COS for the honour done him and indicated that he would continue to work hard to make himself, the family and his admirers proud all in order to raise high the images of Burma Camp schools.

Mr Mbebo Nonna was born on 27 August 2002 and started his childhood education at the Signal Basic School and completed his basic education at the Burma Camp Basic School before getting admission to the Adisadel College. He is the third born of four progenies to SWO Nonna Robertson, the RSM of Signal Training School and Mrs Lamisi Nonna, Burma Camp.
