Support Services Brigade Commander Inducted into Office

The Director Religious Affairs (DRA), Rev Captain (GN) Paul Adjei Djan has inducted the Support Services Commander, Brigadier General Matthew Essien into office on Sunday, 11 October 2020 at the Garrison Methodist Presby Church (GMPC) Burma Camp, Accra.

On the theme ‘Obedience to the call of God’ The Director Religious Affairs (DRA) Rev Captain (GN) Paul Adjei Djan charged the Commander and all present to work effectively and efficiently for the security of humanity. He admonished all to depend on God to direct their paths. He, further, advised all personnel to remain united and support the Commander to succeed. 

The Guest of Honour, Chief of Staff (COS), Rear Admiral Issah Yakubu in his remarks said he was not surprised at the elevation of General   Mathew Essien since he had distinguished himself creditably over the years. This, he added earned him the opportunity to be selected to study at the military academy in the United Kingdom where he exceeded capabilities.

The Support Services Brigade Group Commander, Brigadier General Matthew Essien was grateful to all present and pledged a positive working environment for the growth of the Brigade.

Present at the ceremony were Commanding Officers (CO’s) and some very Senior Officers.
