A Funeral service has been held for the late Colonel Cephas Kofi Yeguo (Rtd) at the Garrison Methodist Presbyterian Church (GMPC) on Friday, 9 October 2020 at Burma Camp in Accra.
Director of Religious Affairs, Naval Captain Paul Adjei- Djan in his sermon under the theme: “How believers in Christ should conduct themselves” in John 14:7-8 and Romans 14:7-8, admonished all present not to judge others because they live differently. He then encouraged all to be patient, humble and loving.
The late Col Yeguo was born on the 16 of August 1949 in Bowiri Amanfro in the Biakoye district of Oti Region and passed away on Friday 3 July 2020 after a short illness at 37 Military hospitals.
Col Yeguo was enlisted into the Ghana military Academy (GMA) Regular Officer Course intake 14 and commissioned as an officer with a rank of second Lieutenant on 18 of December 1971. He worked hard and rose through the ranks to become a Colonel. He held various appointments and retired from the service as Director Logistics (Lands) at the General Headquarters (Logistics) on 26 November 2005.
He was survived by a wife, Mrs Catherine Yeguo and six children.
Present at the burial service were the Chief of the Defence Staff, Lt Gen OB Akwa, former Chiefs of Army Staff, Maj Gen CB Yaache (Rtd), Maj Gen SA Odotei and Maj Gen JN Adinkra, Court of Appeal Judge and Chairman of Parish Pastoral Council of St James Catholic Church, Justice Annma Gaisie and some serving and retired officers.
