Candidates writing the 2020 Basic Education Certificates Examinations(BECE) have undergone a one-day guidance and counseling Programme at the Presbyterian-Methodist Church, 1 Infantry Battalion, Michel Camp, on Wednesday, September 9, 2020.
The Commanding Officer 1BN, Lieutenant Colonel Simeon Barifi Nyante, speaking at the ceremony advised candidates to obey all rules and regulations governing the national examination in order to maintain integrity and sanctity. He asked them to exhibit a high sense of confidence and eschew all kinds of examination malpractices as they commence the examination conducted by the West African Examination Council (WAEC).
Lt Col Nyante urged the candidates to be confident, allay any fears and read the instructions carefully before answering the questions, adding that, understanding the questions formed part of the examinations.
He instructed the candidates to attend to the exams with seriousness and just as they had done with other school examinations, they would make it. He asked them to concentrate on what they had been taught by their teachers and not to rely on friends or any leaked examination questions.
The 1 Garrison Education Officer, Major Patience Yeboah Frimpong, expressed appreciation to the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Simeon Barifi Nyante for his immense contributions to making education better and to the teachers for supporting the students throughout their courses.
