Support Services Brigade Group has held a cadre for Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) Junior Division Course 74 at the Multi-Purpose Lecture hall of the Forces Pay Regiment (FPR) on Friday 4 September 2020.
The aim of the cadre was to acquaint students on the organizational role with reference to Logistics in some selected Units of the Support Services Brigade
The participants were made up of 80 students from Ghana Army, Ghana Navy, Ghana Air Force, Liberian Army, Guinean Army, Gambian Army and Nigerian Army.
In his opening remarks the General Staff Officer (GSO) Grade 1, Lt Colonel Francis Bannerman on behalf of the Commander, Support Services Brigade Group welcomed the students and gave a brief history of the Brigade.
The Students were given lectures on the vision, mission, roles and responsibilities of the selected Units of the Brigade Group by the Commanding Officers (COs) and the Second- in- Command (2ICs). The Units included; Base Ordinance Depot (BOD), 49 Engineering Regiment, Supply and Transport Base Work Shop and Defence Mechanical and Transport Unit.
The cadre is held annually for students to enable them get an in-depth knowledge of their roles and responsibilities as military personnel to work efficiently and effectively.
The Chief Instructor of the Junior Division, Colonel KKK Afriffah was grateful to the Support Services Brigade for Organising such a cadre.
