Support Service Brigade Commander Visits Units Under Command

The Support Service Brigade (Sp Svcs Bde) Commander, Brig Gen Stanley Alloh, has paid a two-week working visit to some Units under the Brigade from Thursday 18 June to Thursday 2 July, 2020  to get himself updated on operational situations and to also bid the units farewell as he exits the Service.

Among the Units he visited were the Armed Forces Central  Band  (AFCB), Base Ordinance Depot (BOD), GHQ Camp, Forces Pay Regiment ( FPR), Signal Regiment, Base Workshop, 49 Engineering Regiment, Base Supply Depot  (BSD) and Ghana Military Police(GMP).

The Commander was briefed by the various Commanding Officers of the Units he visited about their activities as well as some of the challenges they were faced with. He inspected all ongoing and completed projects of the units.

Some of the projects he inspected were; renovation of installation of AC for Internal Auditor’s Group, filling and level of unit backyards, Signals Canteens, Unit Guardrooms and Armouries, Unit Administration blocks, Young Soldiers Ablution Units among others. 

General Alloh was grateful to the units for their loyalty and cordial relationship he received during his tenure in office. He urged personnel to remain discipline, keep up the good work to ensure efficiency. He stated that the rules and regulations of the Ghana Armed Forces must be obeyed by all personnel in order not to tarnish the image of the brigade and the military as a whole.

He held durbars with troops in all the units and urged them to be discipline and be patient when relating to each other, adding that, they should exhibit professionalism when discharging their duties. He then disclosed that will be handing over to his successor, Brig Gen Matthew Essien, in a short ceremony on Thursday 16 July 2020 at the Support Service Brigade Headquarters.

The Unit Cos presented plaques on behalf of the Officers, Men, Women and Civilian Employees to Brig Gen Alloh to show their appreciation for his hard work and selfless services he rendered to them as the Commander.
