The President of Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE), Ing Alexander Leslie Ayeh has on Wednesday, July 01, 2020 inducted 11 Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), Engineer, Mechanical and Electrical (EME) Officers into the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) at a Special ceremony via Zoom from the Engineers Centre, Roman Ridge, Accra.
After administering the oath via Zoom to the inductees, in his remarks, the President reminded the new Engineers that they had been selected based on vigorous training that was based on knowledge, ethics, leadership and service.
President Ing Ayeh congratulated all inductees and urged them to be guided by the ethics of the profession and ensure that the image of the institution was upheld at all times.
The Immediate Past President of GhIE, Ing Steve Amoaning-Yankson advised the new members to eschew the get-rich-quick attitude, bitterness and resentment among themselves.
In his closing remarks, the Executive Director of GhIE, Ing Kwabena Agyei Agyapong admonished the newly inducted Engineers to take their Continuous Professional Development (CPD) seriously and ensure that a minimum of 18 points was earned every year for them to be of good standing with the GhIE and also pave the way for renewal of their certification to practice.
The 11 inducted EME Officers included; the Director General, Plans, Research & Development Brigadier General (Ing) Richard Addo Gyane, Col (Ing) KK Kumi, Col (Ing) K Nditsi, Col (Ing) F Sasu, Lt Col (Ing) Frimpong Manso, Lt Col (Ing) DK Ahedor, Lt Col (Ing) A Awuku-Annie. The others were Lt Col (Ing) Abdul Karim Azumah, Lt Col (Ing) Bernard Nyameke, Lt Col (Ing) Eric Kwabena Nyarko and Lt Col (Ing) JBK Boglo.
