The Ghana Military Christian Fellowship (GMCF) has on Thursday 18 June 2020, presented 700 copies of Holy Bibles, 600 copies of Daily Guides, 7,500 copies of New Testament Bibles and 250 flyers of the fellowship to the Directorate of Religious Affairs (DRA) to be shared among military Christians in the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).
Presenting the Bibles at the Garrison Methodist Presby Church (GMPC) in Burma Camp, the Assistant Commandant of the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC)-Junior Division, Brig Gen Michael Akpatsu who doubles as the President of the Fellowship said the donation was to encourage the spread of Christianity among Military personnel, Civilians Employees of GAF as well as their families and friends.
He further stated that it would assist in the development of the Christian values in soldiers and also disabuse the negative perceptions people have about them. Brig Gen Akpatsu, therefore implored the authorities of DRA to distribute the Bibles to the various churches under the Armed Forces.
Receiving the Bibles on behalf of the Directorate, the Administration Officer, Capt Collins Badu Agyemang thanked the President and the members of Fellowship for the donation and promised that the Bibles would be shared accordingly.
