Kokrokoo Charity Foundation Presents Incubator to 37 Military Hospital

The Class of 1982 year group of the Garrison Primary School at Burma Camp, have presented an infant incubator to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of the 37 Military in Accra.

The Incubator which is worth Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) was presented under the auspices of the Kokrokoo Charity Foundation at the fore Court of the Hospital’s Board Room in Accra.

In his presentation, the President and founder of the KCF, Mr Kwami Sefa Kayi who is also the host of Peace FM’s morning show “Kokrokoo’’ said the Kokrokoo Charity Foundation was aimed at reducing infant mortality rate in Ghana.   He added that the foundation was soliciting for one hundred Infant Incubators to be distributed to various hospitals across the country.

Mr Sefa Kayi indicated that, out of the 100 incubators that were being solicited for, thirty-one had been distributed so far and took the opportunity to advise pregnant women to go to the hospital for check-up in order to avoid maternal death. He however thanked his class mates for the kind gesture.

Receiving the infant incubator on behalf of the Commander of the hospital, Brig Gen Micheal Y Akwasi Yeboah Agyapong and the entire hospital, the Commanding Officer of the facility Col Nii Adjah Obodai thanked them for what they had done and said this would go a long way to save pre-mature babies. Col Obodai advised other foundations and corporate bodies to emulate their gesture.

Some Senior Officers of the formation were present to witness the presentation.
