The Ghana Military Christian Fellowship (GMFC), on Thursday 28, May 2020 donated to the level 2 hospital, of the Ghana Armed Forces located at the El-wak sport stadium in Accra in the bid to help fight the Covid 19 pandemic.
The Items donated to the hospital, were 50 boxes of mineral water and five boxes of Christian religious books and bibles, presenting the items was the president of the Ghana Military Christian Fellowship, Brig Gen. Mike Akpatsu with the support of Cdre Sam Walker (Vice President of GMFC), to the Commanding Officer of the level 2 hospital, Col Thomas Aquinas Gbireh.
President of the Military Christian Fellowship disclosed their gesture was part of their responsibility to share the gospel to everyone, and to also support the facility for their immense role being played by the service and to strengthen the faith of the patience and workers during the pandemic.
He further urges personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces not to be dismayed, but rather observed the safety protocols, and continues to perform their duties professionally.
Commanding officer of the level 2 hospital, Col. Thomas Aquinas Gbireh, received the items on behalf of the hospital, and appreciated their support, and pledged the devotional books would be distributed to the patience of the facility.
The Level 2 facility is an auxiliary of the 37 military hospital set up to support the government in the fight of the Covid 19 pandemic in the country, it is a complete referral hospital in the United Nations system, as a standby facility in a peace keeping setting, and should there be a need for medical attendance.
