The Support Services Brigade Group has held an opening ceremony for this year’s Officers Promotion Examination (PROMEX) at the Unit’s lecture hall in Burma Camp on Tuesday, 26 May 2020.
The aim of the Cadre was to prepare candidates for a two-week Officers Promotion Examination (PROMEX) starting from Tuesday 26 May to Friday 12 June 2020.
In his opening address, the Acting Commander Support Services Brigade Group, Col Kenneth Kweku Kwaah Kumi stated that the cadre was a major activity organized by Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) to prepare and assess Officers for a higher responsibility.
He noted that, there was no shortcut to passing examination and that participants should be ready to learn and be abreast with modern ways of doing things. He again urged to engage in group discussions to share ideas to enable them excel in the exams, since failure would hamper their career progression in the GAF.
Col Kumi also entreated Commanding Officers to release personnel under the Command to fully participate in the Cadre and admonished personnel to observe all directives for COVID -19. He duly declared the Cadre opened.
