Ghana Upstream Petroleum Chamber Supports 37 Military Hospital

The Ghana Upstream Petroleum Chamber (GUPC) has donated medical items to the 37 Military Hospital on Monday, May 11 2020 at the forecourt of the hospital’s Headquarters in Accra.

The items included 1000 pieces of N95/FFP2 Mask, 1220 pieces of surgical mask, 1000 pieces of Disposable Gloves, 800 pieces of Disposable Gowns, 200 pieces of Disposable Overall, 40 pieces of Protective Goggles, 1000 pieces of Shoe Covers, 1000 pieces of Head Covers, 130 pieces of Face Shield, 20 pairs of Crocs Slippers and 20 pairs of Wellington Boots.

Presenting the items to the hospital, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the GUPC hinted that, the presentation was to support the facility in the fight against the outbreak of the COVID 19 pandemic. He said the Chamber was made up of Tullow Oil Ghana Limited, Cosmos Energy, Anadarko Energy, Aker, Vitol, Eni Ghana, Modek and Subsea 7 oil companies.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Ghana Armed Forces Medical Corps, the Commander of the hospital Brig Gen Nii Adjah Obodai thanked the team for their support and appealed to individuals and other corporate bodies to emulate them.

The Commanding Officer of the 37 Military Hospital Col Azumah Bugri and some Senior Officers of the facility were present during the presentation.
