UCT Supports Ghana Army’s Efforts to Fight COVID-19

General Manager of United Commercial Trading (UCT), Mr Ali Fawaz has donated fifty (50) Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and nine (9) knapsack spraying machines to the Ghana Army to aid in their efforts at protecting personnel and families from the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), Major General Thomas Oppong Peprah received the items and expressed his appreciation to the company for supporting the Army. He assured them that the Ghana Army will immediately put the items to good use in the effort to fight the pandemic and protect personnel.
COAS revealed that high command has published directives and guidelines on COVID-19 urging personnel to adhere strictly to protect their lives and family.
Mr Ali Fawaz noted that as business partners it was imperative to support each other especially in this difficult time. He further posited that it was not advisable as business people to abandon the country during the global pandemic. He advised corporate institutions to offer their maximum support to state institutions to combat the disease.  Mr. Fawaz said that the company would continue to provide the requisite support to the Army.
