Late WOII Arthur and WOII Kuazdi Laid to Rest

The mortal remains of the late WOII Arthur Jabez and WOII Kuadzi Dzifa Sarah was laid to rest at the new Military Cemetery on Friday, 31 May 2019 in Accra.

The late WOII Jabez Arthur was recruited into the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) on 18 October 2000 and was posted to the Base Ordinance Depot (BOD) on 11 May 2001 as a Store man and a Driver whilst the late WO11 Kuadzi Sarah was also recruited into GAF on1 March 2000 same year and also posted to BOD.

In the tribute from the Base Ordinance Depot (BOD), the late WOII Arthur was described as a friendly person, full of morale and always brought smiles on the faces of the people he met. He was hardworking and determined and always strived for the best.
The late WOII Arthur Jabez rose through the ranks to become a seasoned Warrant Officer Class II. He was deployed to the two stores Group and was the Unit MTWO.

He also undertook courses such as; Store man Ordinance Basic, BIII, BII, BI, SNCO Advance and the Young Ordinance Officers Course (YOO’s) all from the Military Academy and Training School (MATs) School of Ordinance.

Late WOII Arthur participated in UN peacekeeping in United Nation Mission in Sierra Leone (UNAMSIL) and United Nation Interim Forces in Sierra Leone (UNIFIL) and was awarded the 50th Anniversary Commemorative Medal.

The late WOII Kuadzi was also eulogized by BOD as hardworking, dedicated, respectful and loyal to her superiors. She also expressed interest in becoming a cook and her interest materialized through her successful completion of the Cook Basic Course (CBC) at the Military Academy and Training School (MATS) Catering School between 18 January and 10 May 2002.

The late WO11 Kuadzi further enhanced her knowledge by taking courses in the cook/waitress BIII, BII, BI and NVTIGID respectively. The late WOII Euadzi rose through the ranks and executed all tasks assigned her.

WOII Kuadzi was a veteran peacekeeper who participated in UN peacekeeping Missions such as MONUC, UNAMIL, UNMIL AND UNMISS. She was also awarded the Ghana 50th anniversary Commemorative Medal.

The late WOII Arthur and the late WOII Kuadzi got married in 2004 and had a son; Bill Clinton Nana Arthur.
The couple passed away on 14 April 2019 on the Tema motorway in Accra in a car accident during a heavy downpour of rain on their way back from a funeral.
