Ban Ki-Moon Visits Kofi Annan’s Graveside

A four member delegation led by Former United Nations (UN) Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon has paid a visit to the graveside of the Late and Former UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan at the Military Cemetery, Burma Camp on Saturday, 16 November 2019.

The purpose of the visit was to lay a wreath and pay respect to the Ghanaian global icon whose sudden demise occurred on August 18, 2018 in Bern, Switzerland after a short illness.

The former UN Secretary General was also in the country to attend the maiden edition of the Africa Netpreneurship Summit at the Accra International conference.

The other delegates were Ban Ki-Moon’s wife, Mrs Yoo Soon-Taek, a former Under- Secretary-General and High Representative for Disarmament Affairs, Kim Won-Soo and a Korean Diplomat, Mr Han Young Eun.

The delegation was accompanied by the Deputy Head of Mission of the Korean Embassy in Ghana, Ms Kim Jeeyoung.
