Command Officers hold Regimental Dinner 

Command Officers Regimental dinner has been held on Friday, 8 November 2019 at the Command Officers Mess Burma Camp, Accra. 
The ceremony brought together Service Chiefs, Commandants, Director Generals, Deputy Director Generals and some Senior Officers to make merry, share and exchange ideas.   

The Special Guest of Honour for the occasion, the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lt Gen Obed Boamah Akwa stated that regimental dinners were held to enhance the regimentation and to foster cohesion among officers and to remind themselves about the norms of the service.

He however urged Service Chiefs as well as all officers to patronize the mess, emphasizing that mess life was important since it helps officers to promote and maintain discipline. He described the mess as a classroom for learning about unwritten regulations and place for passing on military tradition from one generation to another. 

The CDS congratulated the Deputy Commandant of Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Center (KAIPTC), Brig. Gen Nii Aryeetey on his appointment as the Deputy Force Commander (DFC), UNIFIL Lebanon. He appreciated the Chief of Staff at the General Headquarters (COS), Maj Gen Thomas Oppong-Peprah and President of the Mess Committee, Col Fred Ntiri for their excellent organisations and all those who contributed to the success of the programme.
