The first batch of students of the Ghana Armed Forces School of Ordinance has successfully ended a six month intensive studies on Friday 1 November, 2019.
In all, 74 students were be awarded Diploma certificates in Fashion Design, Procurement and Supply Chain Management and Leather Patterns by Accra Technical University (ATU).
As part of programme lined up for a successful completion of the course, leadership and students of the school embarked on a recreational visit to the Lakeside Marina Park at Ashaley-Botwe a suburb of Accra. The recreational visit was to help them reflect over the entire programme in a cozy atmosphere.
According to the Commanding Officer (CO) of the School, Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Anthony Amoako, the face of studies in the School has changed due to its affiliation to the ATU.
He said the students have adapted to the changes and have successfully completed their studies and will have their graduation ceremony on November 30 where they will be awarded various certificates from ATU.
Lt Col Amoako revealed that the President of the Republic and the Commander-In-Chief (C-in-C) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will be conferring the various certificates on the students during the graduation ceremony at ATU.
He added that the study programme which started in June 2019 has equipped the students with the requisite knowhow in their various fields of study.
Lt Col Amoako urged the students to apply the expertise and knowledge they have acquired from the school in their various Units to inure to the benefit of GAF and Ghana at large and further expressed his profound gratitude to the students for donations they have made to support the smooth administration of the School.
The students participated in games such as; sack race, draught, oware, cards, lime and spoon, table tennis, Horse riding and expeditions on the lake.
