The South African Defence Attaché (DA), Colonel Lorraine Ndlovu has paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Vice Admiral Seth Amoama on Thursday16 June 2022 at the General Headquarters in Burma Camp.

The purpose of her visit was to bid farewell to CDS and the Military High Command as her time of service in Ghana was over.  

Col Ndlovu was grateful for the warm reception, support, and cooperation from the Military High Command as well as the government of Ghana during her tenure of office. She applauded Vice Admiral Amoama for his contribution towards the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between both countries and suggested that the CDS meets the Chief of the South African National Defence Force (SANF) to further strengthen the bilateral relations between both militaries.

The CDS, on his part, lauded Col Ndlovu for her contribution to the bilateral relations between the South African National Defence Force and the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF). He stated that her tenure of office saw the deployment of a Ghanaian DA to South Africa, the signing of a MOU between both countries and the formation of the Association of Foreign Defence Attachés.

He assured the outgoing South African DA, Col Ndlovu of his support to the incoming South African DA and as well as the Association.
