The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Vice Admiral Seth Amoama has received Cpl Amoo Emmanuel following his return from medical treatment in India. The reception took place on Tuesday 17 May 2022 at Burma Camp.
The reception was to officially thank the CDS and the Military High Command for the prompt medical evacuation and care he received throughout his one and half year Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) sponsored medical management and recovery in India.
Cpl Amoo in his brief expressed his appreciation to the Military High Command for the support and attention he received during and after his medical treatment.
CDS expressed his delight for a successful treatment and indicated that compensation in accordance with GAF Welfare Policy would be extended to him. He presented him with an undisclosed amount, adding that the Military High Command will continue to support him medically, physically and spiritually until he recovers fully.
Cpl Amoo Emmanuel who is attached to the Directorate of Education at the General Headquarters was part of troops on board a military vehicle that was involved in the accident on 3 December 2017 on the Tamale-Bawku Highway.
