The Ghana Infantry Company (GHANCOY 3) of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) Ghana Battalion (GHANBATT) 3 donated Air Conditioners and medical equipment to the Maternity Ward of the 37 Military Hospital at the premises of the ward.
Presenting the items on Monday, January 4, 2022 to the ward, the leader of the team, Col Rafat Awudu disclosed that the presentation was to support pregnant women at the ward since they are the source of motherhood. He added that it was also to afford them the comfortability at the ward during and after they have delivered safely.
Col Awudu indicated that the company had a Thanksgiving Service at the Teshie Camp Methodist Presbyterian Church at Whistler Barracks on December 5, 2021.
The Nursing Officer in Charge of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department Lt Col Mary Ampofo received the items on behalf of the Commander of the hospital Brig Gen Nii Adjah Obodai and thanked them for the good deeds shown to the maternity. She asked for God’s blessings for them and encouraged other GHANBATTS to emulate such a kind gesture.
