GAFCSC Organises Graduation Ceremony for JSC 76

The Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC), has organised a graduation ceremony for the Junior Staff Course (JSC) 76 on Thursday, 16 December 2021.

The Junior Staff Course 76 had 60 students, 44 were drawn from the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), one each from Gambia and Guinea, two from Liberia, three from Sierra Leone and nine from Nigeria.

The guest of honour for the occasion, Brigadier General Michael N Akpatsu (rtd), was hopeful that the knowledge acquired would put the graduands in a better position to appreciate and effectively manage the multi-dimensional challenges that they were bound to face in their career.

He explained that the 20-week course which culminated into a two-week programme codenamed Exercise Ombudsman had equipped graduands with the needed skills to plan and execute internal security, counter-insurgency operations and other crisis management in support of civil authority.

Awards were given to students who performed exceptionally. Major Isaac Annor was adjudged the overall best student, Major Daniel Boampong and Major Kwame Owusu-Gyimah were adjudged the second and third best students, respectively.

The Best Allied Student was awarded to Flt Lt Isaac Aso Ayuba. Major Daniel Boampong, Major Felix A Saaka, Major Koomson A Arthur were adjudged the first, second and third best Commandant’s Paper, respectively and the Everard Award was given to Major Stephen Nana Apiagyei.
