Outgoing US Army Civil Affairs Team introduces incoming team to GOC Northern Command

United States (US) Army Civil Affairs Team assigned to the Southern European Taskforce- Africa has on Monday 15 July 2024, called on the General Officer Commanding Northern (GOC) Command Brigadier General Frank Nartey Tei at Camp Nyohini.

The team led by outgoing team leader Major Jennifer Stachira, was to officially inform the GOC of the end of tenure of the current team and introduce the succeeding team.

Brigadier General Tei appreciated the fruitful partnership and collaboration between the US Army and the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF). He commended the outgoing team for their exemplary performance and expressed hope for a smooth transition. He further assured the new team of his full support and wished them success.

Major Stachira informed the GOC about a planned civil affairs symposium, scheduled for first week in September which would be held in Accra to help develop a civil affairs doctrine for GAF.

The new team leader, Major Erin Kan, assured the GOC of the commitment on part of her team to work closely with the Northern Command in order to build on the achievements and successes of her predecessors.
