The Ghana Armed Forces Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) has held an end-of-year health walk and fun games at Whistler Barracks Teshie, on Friday 20 December 2024. The event which began with a 5 kilometres health walk from Whistler Barracks through the Accra-Tema highway to the Teshie Police Station and climaxed with aerobics exercises at the Addico square, attracted participants from the TRADOC Headquarters, schools under TRADOC Command and families. As part of the events lined up, the various participating Units engaged in football, volleyball, basketball and hand ball competitions. The event also featured indoor games such as ludu, owaare and draughts. The Guest of Honour, Commandant TRADOC, Rear Admiral Eric Adu commended Officers, Soldiers and Defence Civilian Staff of the command for their professionalism and dedication to duty. He also thanked the Commanding Officers and key appointees of the various training schools for improving the state of infrastructure and equipment in their schools.He urged personnel to stay away from illegal activities such as recruitment fraud and other negative tendencies that would have a negative effect on their military career, reminding them to stay alert in the discharge of their duties especially during the harmattan season to avoid unnecessary fire outbreaks.Teams that excelled in the games were awarded with trophies and gifts.
