TDC TASK FORCE COMPLETES TRAINING AT 1BN

The 1 Infantry Battalion (1 BN) has held a passing-out parade for 38 trainees of the Tema Development Corporation (TDC) Ghana Limited Security Task Force, at the Unit Parade Square, Michel Camp on Friday 10 October 2025.

The two weeks intensive training was designed to equip trainees with requisite skills and discipline to effectively carry out their duties as members of the TDC Security Task Force. They went through endurance and physical training, received lessons in access control, checkpoint duties, report writing, first aid and emotional intelligence. The course also emphasised teamwork, discipline and professionalism.

Addressing the parade, the Reviewing Officer and Managing Director of TDC Ghana Limited, Mr Courage Kweku Makafui Nunekpeku, commended the Ghana Armed Forces for the continuous support in building the capacity of TDC security personnel. He noted that the training had instilled in the participants a strong sense of patriotism, orderliness and commitment to duty.

Mr Nunekpeku urged the graduands to uphold the values of discipline, loyalty, integrity and professionalism as they assume their various responsibilities within TDC and encouraged them to serve with honour.

He also announced plans to collaborate with the Ghana Armed Forces to ensure that all recruits and National Service personnel of TDC undergo similar orientation to enhance discipline and efficiency.

Certificates were presented to the trainees in recognition of their successful participation and completion of the training.
