Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Major General Bismarck Kwasi Onwona has advocated peaceful collaborations with other security agencies during his maiden visit to Army Training Command and Army Combat Training School on Thursday 4 April, 2024. The visit enabled the COAS to acquaint himself with the activities and operations of the Command where he also outlined his vision to maintain a cohesive, well-motivated and well-rounded Army capable of undertaking its mission of national defence with professionalism as part of the Ghana Armed Forces.He underscored the relevance of synergy and mutual respect among Ghana's diverse security apparatus, adding that a unified front among security agencies was indispensable in effectively addressing modern-day security challenges."The era of viewing fellow security agencies as enemies is over. We must embrace a culture of collaboration, recognising the invaluable contributions each agency brings to the table," he added. Commander of the Army Training Command, Brigadier General Stephen Woseadzipko Parbey briefed the COAS on Operational, Administration, Logistics and Welfare, highlighting the challenges of the Command and requested for additional resources.Not far from the Commander’s plea, the Commander Army Combat Training School, Colonel Robert Narh elaborated the immediate needs of the school during his brief.As part of the visit, the COAS and his entourage toured some selected areas earmarked for projects. They also witnessed a demonstration of firing at the school's simulation room.
