The Resident Representative of the President of the ECOWAS Commission (RRPC), Her Excellency Ngozi Ukaeje, paid a working visit to the ECOWAS Stabilization Support Mission in Guinea Bissau (ESSMGB) GHANCOY 3 on Friday 13 September 2024. The aim of her visit was to familiarise herself with the operational, administrative and logistics matters of GHANCOY as well as to formally introduce herself to the contingent. The Combat Team Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Gabriel Mawuli Agboado and his staff officers briefed her on the operational, administrative and logistics state of the unit. The RRPC expressed her gratitude to all ranks for their efforts in implementing the ECOWAS mandate through operations carried out by GHANCOY, and she appreciated the warm reception accorded to her and her staff officers. Her Excellency Ngozi Ukaeje also interacted with the troops, commending them for maintaining a high level of discipline and commitment over the period. She further praised GHANCOY for their female participation, in line with the United Nations benchmarks for female involvement in Peace Support Operations.
