A delegation from Rheinmetall-MAN Group led by the Chief Executive Officer of Krane International Ghana, Mr Kaff, has paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, The meeting held at the office of the CDS General Headquarters in Burma Camp, on Tuesday 14 May, 2024 aimed to build stronger ties between Rheinmetall-MAN and the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF). Lt Gen Oppong-Peprah, in his remarks, stressed the need for defence companies to establish joint ventures with the GAF. He opined that such partnership would ensure the gradual transfer of technology, create employment and ensure availability of spares to the GAF. The CDS further revealed that partner companies could also have a hub in Ghana, leverage on cheap labour and readily service the regional defence market.
