The Retired Commissioned Officers’ Association (RCOA) has donated items worth Fifty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢50,000.00) to victims of the Akosombo Dam spillage at the forecourt of Parliament House on Friday, 8 December 2023. The items include 100 bags of rice, 20 cartons of cooking oil, and 10 Ghana-Must-Go bags of clothing.The President of the Association and Executive Committees of RCOA, Brigadier General Samuel Yanyi-Akofur (Rtd) in donating the items to the Volta caucus of Parliament, pledged their resolve to support victims of the Dam spillage during the disaster and contribute to national efforts. He added that the donations were sourced from the Association and individual members in Accra and Tema. Receiving the items, Member of Parliament for Akatsi North and Secretary of the Caucus, Honorable Peter Kwasi Nortsu-Kotoe, commended the Association for their timely support and assured the leadership of RCOA that the items would be distributed to the right victims.
