MP FOR LA DADEKOTOPON CALLS ON CDS

CDS expresses need for a collaborative effort to resolve the long-standing encroachment of GAF lands

The Member of Parliament (MP) for La Dadekotopon  Honourable (Hon) Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, has  called on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah.     

The courtesy call to the office of the CDS at the General Headquarters, Burma Camp was to strengthen the relationship between the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and the people of La Dadekotopon.


During the visit, the CDS expressed his appreciation and highlighted the need for a collaborative effort to resolve the long-standing encroachment of GAF lands. He noted that GAF had lost several acres of land to the people of La Dadekotopon over the years, hence, the urgent need for a more proactive approach to protect the remaining lands.

Hon Naa Odoley on her part, lauded GAF for the peaceful coexistence with her constituents and encouraged all to work towards a negotiated solution to the land challenges.
