The Leadership Training School (LTS) ended the Musician Grade 3 Course 1-2024 (MN3 CSE 1/24) with a concert at the Forecourt of the Junior Rates Mess, Eastern Naval Command (ENC) Tema on Friday 6 September 2024.

The concert, which showcased the talents of 45 participants, marked the culmination of the training programme.

The Guest of Honour, Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC), Commodore (Cdre) Solomon Asiedu-Larbi, in his address, emphasised the significance of music in military tradition, highlighting its role in fostering leadership and unity. He commended FOC ENC, Cdre Maxwell Arhen, for providing new band instruments to the Ghana Navy Music School, noting that this initiative would significantly enhance the quality of training and performances.

Cdre Asiedu-Larbi underscored the role of music in providing rhythm and cadence to various military ceremonies and events, both nationally and internationally. He urged the participants to embody the values of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance in their military careers, adding that they should take pride in their role in serving the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and the nation during performances.

The Officer-in-Charge of the Ghana Navy Band, Lieutenant Commander (Lt Cdr) Stanley Theophilus Brocke, in his address, highlighted the significance of the six-month training period, praising the unwavering dedication and pursuit of excellence as a testament to the Navy's commitment to fostering the arts and facilitating the personal development of its personnel. Lt Cdr Brocke encouraged the graduating musicians to contribute to the Ghana Navy Band, underscoring their potential to elevate the standard of excellence within the military through the inspiring and unifying power of music.
