The ceremony took place at the Manhyia Palace in the presence of the Asanteman Traditional Council on Thursday 4 July 2024. Otumfuo Osei Tutu II advised Nana Owusu Ampah III to exhibit high sense of loyalty, honesty and show respect to people. He urged him to prioritise development in his area, especially education. He was accompanied by stool elders, elders of his traditional area as well as the General Officer Commanding Central Command, Brig Gen Michael Opoku, other Senior members of the Ghana Armed Forces and some Defense Civilian Staff. 
Following his successful enstoolment as Omanhene of Obogu Traditional Area in the Asante Akim South District of the Ashanti Region, Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Ernest Owusu under the stool name, Nana Owusu Ampah III, has sworn the Oath of Allegiance to Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
