Military and Police team up to fight emerging crimes in Bawku and its environs

A joint Military and Police Patrol team has been launched on Thursday 1 August 2024, to fight emerging crimes at Bawku and its environs.

Speaking at the official ceremony held at the forecourt of the Bawku Divisional Police Headquarters, the Joint Task Force Commander for Bawku – Colonel (Col) Appah Yaw Owusu urged the security service to unite and fight the emerging crimes in Bawku and its environs.

The Regional Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP)Mr Raymond Adofiem, on behalf of the Upper East Regional Security Council (REGSEC), said it was important for the security services to stay united and harmonize their efforts in order to consolidate the gains made in security efforts in Bawku and its environs.

The programme was climaxed with a symbolic Joint Military and Police Patrols, accompanied by other security services through the principal streets of Bawku.

The ceremony was graced by heads and representatives of all security services.
