Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Gabriel Mawuli Agboado was inducted into office as the Combat Team Commander of the Ghanaian Company 3 (GHANCOY) serving with the ECOWAS Stabilization Support Mission in Guinea Bissau (ESSMGB) on Sunday, 25 August 2024.

The consecration ceremony was held to commit the personnel and activities of the mission to the care of the Almighty God. Themed "Um Povo, Uma Missão, One People, One Mission," the event marked the successful insertion of GHANCOY 3 into their Area of Operational Responsibility.

In his homily, the Chaplain, Captain Richmond Nii Armarh Kwei-Nsoro, urged all ranks to work as one body to achieve the Mission’s Mandate. The Combat Team Commander, Lt Col Gabriel Mawuli Agboado, expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity given to him by God to serve with the colours, extending special thanks to the Military High Command.

The Special Guest of Honor, the Chief Administration and Logistics (J1/J4) at the Force Headquarters, Lt Col Ahedor, urged all troops to come together as a united force and discharge their duties diligently in achieving the mission's mandate.

Other dignitaries present at the service included the Deputy Coordinator of the Formed Police Unit and other nationals under ESSMGB.
