The Central Command Headquarters of the Ghana Army has organised an initiation, elevation, and reaffirmation ceremony for its personnel on Friday 16 August 2024, at the Adinkra Mess.

The event was held to welcome the newly promoted Sergeants, elevate the Staff Sergeants and Warrant Officer Class 2 (WOII), and reaffirm the newly promoted Warrant Officer Class 1 (WOI). These advancements were achieved through their hard work, dedication, and commitment to Ghana Armed Forces.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) Central Command, Brigadier General Michael Opoku, addressed the attendees, congratulating them on their promotions. He emphasised the importance of maintaining professionalism, working diligently and cautioned against any actions that could tarnish their image or that of the Ghana Army.

As part of the ceremony, the GOC commissioned the renovated Adinkra Mess Guest House and presented the mess with five air-conditioners, five tabletop refrigerators, six televisions, five beds, and five mattresses. He advised that these equipment should be well-maintained. Warrant Officer Class I, Tuou Robert, President of the Messing Committee (PMC), expressed gratitude for the GOC’s generous contributions and assured that the equipment would be properly maintained.
