On Monday 27 May 2024, the Contingent Commander (CONTICO) of ECOWAS Mission in The Gambia (ECOMIG) Ghana Company 7 (GHANCOY 7) handed over authority and responsibility to GHANCOY 8. The CONTICO, who doubles as the Officer Commanding (OC) of the Company, Lieutenant Colonel KW Peprah admonished Key Appointment Holders at the ceremony to support the incoming OC, Lieutenant Colonel A Dery to ensure their success. He emphasized the need for GHANCOY 8 to present a unified front and support each other. The ceremony was marked with the handing over of command baton at the Company Headquarters.
