The 12-Week Course which began on Friday 28 April 2023 and consisted of 49 participants drawn from all detachments and units as well as the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), was designed to arm participants with skills in general law enforcement and policing duties.

The Guest of Honour, the Chief of Staff (COS) at the General Headquarters, Major General (Maj Gen) Nicholas Peter Andoh in his address admonished the graduands to exhibit integrity and discipline at all times. He added that the course had not only equipped them for tasks ahead but to be worthy ambassadors of quality training from GAF.

Maj Gen Andoh stated that GAF and GIS collaborate to protect the borders from security threats hence it was essential to establish a friendly cooperation between both Institutions to be able to perform their duties professionally and effectively. He awarded the overall best and the second-best students, AB1 Annobil Albert and Sgt Kombu Edwin respectively, with an amount of Two Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC 2,000) each.

On his part, the Assistant Commissioner of Immigration, Lawyer Philip Peter Andoh congratulated participants for their hard work and commitment during the period of the course.
