The Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) in Teshie has opened Conflict and Crisis Management Course (CCMC) 1/2024 for Senior Command and Staff Course 45 on Monday 15 July, 2024.

The course aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of conflict and internal crisis management, to enable them work more efficiently.

The Guest of Honor and National Security Coordinator, Mr Edward Asomani, in his remarks applauded the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and GAFCSC for positioning itself as a leading institution offering courses and modules that brings together personnel from key national institutions to foster the synergy needed for security and development. He expressed delight in being a key stakeholder in the program.

Mr Asomani emphasised the importance of involving participants from other security services, media houses, and the private sector across the country in building cohesion and purpose for national growth and development.

He reminded participants of their service as middle-level managers, and the crucial link they create between policymakers and beneficiaries of policy decisions. He stressed that in-depth knowledge, expertise, and professionalism were indispensable in the effective management of conflict and crisis.

The National Security Coordinator cautioned that poorly managed conflict and crisis threatens the security of existence, hence entreated participants to ensure that core objectives of the course were firmly embedded in their minds as they progress.
